Course Description:
AP Spanish Language is an advanced, fast-paced course. This class is designed to be equivalent to a third-year college course in which students practice their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Special attention is paid to various aspects of culture in Latin America and Spain. Students who take AP Spanish are expected to have a good command of Spanish grammar and vocabulary and demonstrate competency in all aspects of the language. Extensive written and spoken practice will be done throughout the year. AP Spanish Language prepares students to take the advanced placement test during the second semester as well as for further studies in Spanish. Students who are enrolled in AP Spanish are expected to take the AP Spanish Language Exam in May.
