Secluded Campus Area Reimagined

For years the area west of the Holy Family Event Center known as The Point was a quiet contemplative space that few students used or even had regular access to visit.  As of December 2017, that has dramatically changed. The ground was leveled, athletic turf and netting installed, and the area is now used daily by over 100 OLP students.  From PE and World Languages classes to a variety of OLP Athletic teams (Water Polo, Lacrosse, Archery, Softball, Track & Field, Golf) make good use of this new redefined area.  While it has become an active area for most of the day, you can still find quiet blocks of time throughout the day to gather your thoughts and perhaps escape the busy life of the OLP Campus for a peaceful prayer overlooking Mission Valley.  The construction of the “Field at the Point” was made possible through generous contributions from our OLP families and friends via the annual OLP Golf Tournament. Next time you are on campus, make sure to walk down to The Point and see the transformation.
