After graduating from OLP in 1990, I attended Santa Clara University and majored in English, preparing myself for my dream of becoming a high school English teacher. I took a year off after graduating in 1994 and traveled as an Educational Leadership Consultant for my sorority, Alpha Phi. I earned my Single Subject Teaching Credential at SCU and in 1996 came back, full circle to OLP, as a teacher. It was one of my best jobs ever!
Perhaps the greatest benefit of my time as an OLP faculty member was meeting my husband, Matt Linville. We were the Freshman Moderators and met at freshman dance lessons. Matt remains on staff at Saints and celebrates 18 years as a teacher and coach there. We were lucky and honored to have Fr. John Keller, Saints principal at the time, marry us on August 2, 2002.
Teaching was a wonderful career, yet I was called to pursue another passion… fashion. Working at Nordstroms in the areas of customer service, human resources, and recruitment was wonderful. Gaining experience in a luxury retail environment is how I landed the position I have now – consulting and training for luxury automotive brands nationwide. I live out of a suitcase, but it is an amazing adventure and I enjoy every minute of it. I am proud to be the product of all-girls education and so grateful for the fact that OLP friendships last a lifetime.
My name is Margaret (Goebel) Linville and I’m proud to be a graduate of OLP.
