Jacqueline Hillier Valdez is a San Diego native. She graduated from Endicott College with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and a double minor in Psychology and Gender Studies. After graduating she began working at The American Language Institute at San Diego State University where she worked as a program assistant. Wanting to work in the classroom she decided to pursue a Master in Education from the University of Southern California. After receiving her degree and credential she worked at a private high school in Irvine California where she taught English Literature, Business, and English Language Development. Since then, she has taught in a variety of learning environments including public and charter high schools. She is a big proponent of Universal Design for Learning and loves educational technology.
