Donald’s Garage

Welcome to robot parking! We know that students have to see it to believe they can be it. That’s why we created a dedicated spot for the robotics team’s robot to be on display for all students to see. But this corner of Shiley Hall is more than just a parking spot. We’ve named this space “Donald’s Garage” in honor of the late Donald Shiley whose early passion for tinkering on machines inspired his professional life as an acclaimed biomedical inventor. Mr. Shiley’s legacy as the inventor of the Bjork-Shiley prosthetic heart valve serves as an inspiration to students who dream of making their own major contributions to the world of science. Take a moment to enjoy this dedicated space before moving on to your next stop.
