You have arrived at one of many new collaboration spaces. Many alumni and students will recall times of sitting on the floor in order to study between classes or to work on group projects. Prior to Boundless, we lacked the spaces to support these student needs. Now, the laptop bar offers a space for students to conduct independent work. The preserved greenery, also known as biophilic installations, also support student creativity and studies have shown that the presence of nature indoors increases student achievement by 14%. You may also notice that floating shelves made from the building’s original doors provide a space to display student artwork. The laptop bar is also book-ended by two study nooks of which there are four throughout Navarra and Shiley Hall. You’ll often find students working collaboratively in these cozy spaces throughout the buildings. Please proceed to the next stop on your tour.
