OLP and San Diego Diplomacy Council To Celebrate International Women’s Day

OLP Partners with San Diego Diplomacy Council and International Leaders to Celebrate International Women’s Day

OLP is proud to announce our partnership with the San Diego Diplomacy Council, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization designated by the State Department to deliver programs that allow San Diego to connect and participate in the international sphere and extend its influence around the globe.

The Diplomacy Council will be hosting an International Visitor Leadership Program on campus Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.

The theme of the program is “A Celebration of International Women’s Day” and will feature international delegates in town on Ending Gender-Based Violence (seven emerging leaders from Central and South America), a delegation from China here to learn about Special Education and a delegation from Europe and Eurasia to study Transparency and Accountability in Government. In addition to international guests, educators, political leaders and women’s empowerment groups and organizations are invited to attend.

“We think OLP is a perfect location to host this program given the focus of these groups and because we will be celebrating International Women’s Day,” said James Davis, Operations Director for San Diego Diplomacy Council.

The San Diego Diplomacy Council welcomes more than 600 international visitors to San Diego annually through the International Visitor Leadership Program and other custom programs. From their local network of partners and professional meeting hosts, they coordinate more than 3,000 professional meetings between our visiting leaders and San Diego city residents each year.
Their events and programs provide community members with unique opportunities to foster long-standing business and personal relationships, and result in a more vibrant, diverse, globally-conscious, and prosperous San Diego community.
