Water Main Break in Neighborhood
School Continues as Planned
This morning around 7 a.m., a water main broke in the North Park neighborhood surrounding OLP. Despite the break, school and all evening activities will continue as planned. There is no flooding on or around campus and emergency crews are at the scene working to fix the break as soon as possible.
We have partnered with J & J Construction to ensure that the needs of our students, faculty, staff and on-site guests are met. Within the hour, we will have 16 portable bathroom and hand-washing stations set up on Circle Drive. Within the next two hours, an additional 12 portable bathroom and hand-washing stations will be set up on Upper Plaza for a total of 28 portable bathroom facilities around campus.
In the meantime, students may use the regular restroom facilities on campus as needed as there is still water left in our lines. We will have additional drinking water delivered shortly. Food service will continue as planned throughout the day.
