All parents are welcome to join us for Coffee with Counselors on April 11 at 8 AM in the Carondelet Library. We look forwarding to welcoming our special guest speaker, David Stoeckel, from The College Recruiting Group. The topic will be Playing Sports in College. Mr. Stoeckel's presentation will include information on the prerequisites to being successfully recruited, the three reasons why talented athletes are not recruited, the single most valuable recruiting tool, plus much more valuable information for the college-bound student-athlete. This presentation is open to all OLP parents. 

Get Your Tickets for the Father-Daughter Honky Tonk: All Grade Levels

Dust off your cowboy boots! Ask your dad or father figure to save the date: Friday, April 13th from 7-10pm. All 9-12 students are invited to a honky tonk country dance on our lovely OLP campus! You and your dad will have an awesome time learning some line dances and eating tasty fair-themed food. There will be awards for the best duo's dance moves and country-costumes! You are welcome to gather up a few friends and attend as a group with one dad. Join us for a boot stompin' good time! Attire: Country casual! Jeans and dresses are encouraged. (No bare midriffs, low-cut or backless tops, no shorts).

5th, 6th & 7th Grade Girls are invited to our 5th annual BeYOUtiful event on April 21, 2018! Join current OLP students for an engaging morning of girl empowerment workshops and a presentation on how to create positive self esteem from a guest speaker. Girls will participate in a series of workshops focused on boosting self confidence and learning how to be a leader among their peers. The BeYOUtiful Project is an initiative created by students at OLP in an effort to empower younger girls to rise to their full potential. Purchase tickets here!

Community Day in Valle de Guadalupe Almost Sold Out!

Tickets are going fast so reserve yours today and join the OLP Community for a family day in the Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico. The day will commence with a bilingual mass in a beautiful outdoor chapel followed by family-style lunch with music, all while celebrating OLP. This event is open to all OLP and Saints families, future Pilots, alumnae families, and their friends. A separate ticket option allows for round-trip bus transportation from OLP. Wanted by the FBI: San Diego FBI Teen Academy Applicants

The FBI Teen Academy is an opportunity for students to spend an interactive day with special agents and professional staff at the FBI building in Sorrento Valley. Students will participate in both classroom and hands-on activities while learning about the FBI's core values. For example, classes will offer an insider's look into FBI investigations into gangs, drugs, and terrorism, as well as involve discussions about the FBI's use of computer forensics in cyber investigations. Learn more.

CSF Membership for Seniors

The California Scholarship Federation is now accepting applications for 3rd quarter grades from all current Seniors. Applications can be found online or outside room 201 and must be turned in with a print out of your official 3rd quarter grades to Ms. Cunningham (Room 201) NO LATER THAN Tuesday, April 10th at 2:15pm. No late applications or applications without printed grades will be accepted. Apply to be a Link Crew Leader!

Any Sophomores or Juniors that are interested in applying to become a Link Crew leader for next year are invited to attend one of the two informational meetings. Come to Room 202 at lunch on April 9th or April 12th to pick up an application and learn all about what it takes to be part of the Pilot Link Crew! Peer Tutoring is Back!
Student tutors from our National Honor Society are available Monday through Thursday during lunch (12:05 - 12:50 pm) and after school (2:30 - 3:15 pm) starting February 5. Tutoring is being offered in almost every subject and there is no need to make an appointment, students can just stop by the Student Commons and our Peer Tutors will be happy to help! This Week's Recap: 
JV: Last week, JV Lacrosse had an exciting 9-4 win against Ramona High School. Chloe James '21 led the team with 3 goals. Emma Gronstad '19 and Ella James '21 had an excellent defensive game. Isabel Wallace '20 continues to make incredible saves in goal. 
Swim & Dive
JV: Even though the Pilots lost to Cathedral last week, the majority of JV Swimmers achieved their personal best times. Special shoutout to Andrea Morland-Tellez '20 & Emilia Perez-Rocha '18 for making City Conference cuts in the 500 freestyle

JV: Last Tuesday, JV Softball fell to San Dieguito High School in a close 9-10 game that came down to the last at bat. Jordan Williams '21 and Gabby Soto '20 both had excellent games.
