Father Greg Boyle on January 25
Father Greg Boyle will be celebrating liturgy and speaking with our young women on Thursday, January 25. The mass and assembly will be open to current parents and alumnae. Sign Up for Sister Shadow Day on February 1
All 6th, 7th and 8th grade sisters of current OLP students are invited to attend our Sister Shadow Day! This annual tradition is scheduled for Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 7:30 am-2:15 pm. The day involves attending classes with the older OLP sister, participating in a "Wacky Wednesday" and experiencing the annual Miss OLP coronation assembly. It is a special day for both OLP students and their visiting sisters as they are able to experience treasured traditions within the OLP community together. Bishop Flores Tuition Assistance Program 2018-19 Deadlines

Come to the Poetry Out Loud Contest on Wednesday!
Don't miss out on the first-ever Poetry Out Loud Contest at OLP on Wednesday! Students will be reciting poetry in front of an audience and a panel of judges. Two winners will move on to the next round of competition against other San Diego schools. Come to the Library on January 24 during lunch to witness some amazing poetry come to life!
Reminder: Senior Service Hours Due This Friday
As a reminder, service hours for the Class of 2018 are due this Friday, January 26. The requirements for senior year are 10 hours of direct service with one organization. If you have any questions or concerns, email Mr. White at [email protected] or come to the Campus Ministry Student Lounge.
OLP Dance Placement for Intermediate & Advanced Classes This Friday
Interested in taking a dance class next year? Ms. Marshall's Dance Placement Class is this Friday, January 26 from 1:00-2:00pm in the Dance Studio. This class is designed for dancers with previous experience who wish to be placed in an Intermediate or Advanced level dance class. Attendance at the Placement Class is mandatory if you wish you be placed in a higher level dance class next year. Ms. Marshall will evaluate you through a one-hour jazz class and give her recommendation before you sign-up for classes with your counselor. If you cannot attend the class, please email Ms. Marshall at [email protected] to sign-up for a makeup class or set up a personal placement meeting with her.
**No dance experience? No problem and no need to attend the Placement Class! You can just sign-up for the beginning level dance class with your counselor. Email Ms. Marshall with any questions.
CSF Applications Available Now!
The California Scholarship Federation is now accepting applications for the 2017 fall semester from all current 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. Applications can be found online or outside room 201 and must be turned in with a print out of your final grades from last semester to Ms. Cunningham (Room 201) no later than Friday, February 2 at 12:45 pm. No late applications or applications without printed grades will be accepted. Please see Ms. Cunningham for any questions regarding eligibility or the application process.

Apply for the Reproductive and Oncofertility Summer Program at UC San Diego
The Reproductive and Oncofertility Academy at UC San Diego, an all-girls' program open to students from any high school in San Diego County, is now accepting applications for the 2018 Summer Academy. Rising juniors and seniors in good standing who have successfully completed one year of Biology and/or Chemistry by June 2018 are eligible to apply. This is a 6-week intensive program at UCSD. You will meet three times a week and have three additional mandatory field trips. Applications are due February 9, 2018. Apply Now.

Spring Sports Registration Due February 8
If you are planning to tryout for a spring sport, please complete the online registration by February 8, 2018. If you have already turned in your current physical (dated after June 1, 2017) to the school, there is no need to upload it. Once your account has been reviewed, you will get an email from Coach Blackbourn with an attached emergency card. That will need to be signed by a parent/guardian and given to your coach on the first day of tryouts in order to participate. As a reminder, you will still need to complete this process even if you played a fall or winter sport. Please email Coach Blackbourn with any questions at [email protected]

Pilot Golfers Recognized at All-CIF Awards Night
Congratulations to Pilot golfers Catalin Yturralde ‘19 and Brooke Ryback ‘21 who were recognized at the All-CIF Awards Night in December to celebrate their outstanding athletic excellence. Breitbard All-CIF Certificates of Athletic Achievement are named after Bob Breitbard, who was a legendary and trailblazing sports figure in San Diego and founder of the Hall of Champions. “Mr. B” distributed certificates himself to San Diego’s highest-achieving athletes.
