Parking Structure Closed to Students on Tuesday, October 10
The parking structure will be closed to students on Tuesday, October 10, to allow parking for our guests and vendors for the Architects of Change at School: Bethany Hamilton event. Students, please park on the street in the surrounding neighborhood. Be careful of temporary construction signs; assume the whole block is closed so you don't get towed.

Architects of Change with Bethany Hamilton: Get Ready to Shop on Tuesday!
Ladies, get ready to shop! On Tuesday, as part of the Architects of Change event, we will have a vendor marketplace with incredible storefronts represented on Circle Drive. Make sure you bring your money to shop at Jolyn Clothing, McKenzie Rae Dresses, Graced by Grit and more! The marketplace will be open beginning at second break and running all afternoon.

PSAT Standardized Testing Day on Wednesday, October 11
All freshmen, sophomores and juniors will be taking the PSAT (Preliminary SAT) on Wednesday, October 11 from 7:45 am-12:00 pm. Students will report to their assigned testing location to complete their standardized test. Students were emailed their testing location, name of proctor and a link to the "PSAT Student Guide" two weeks ago. For exam day, please remember to bring a #2 pencil, a calculator and a snack, as these will NOT be provided. This is a 12:00 pm early dismissal day, though our Library will remain open until 6:00 pm.

You're Invited to the College Fair on Wednesday, October 11
OLP is hosting its annual College Fair on October 11 from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Holy Family Event Center. Parents and students in all grade levels are invited to attend!

Service Opportunity with Noah Homes on Thursday, October 12
On Thursday, October 12, Mrs. Wilson and Mr. White will be taking a group of OLP students to Noah Homes, an assisted living facility for adults with disabilities, for a fun direct service opportunity. The group will meet on Circle Drive at 2:30 pm to caravan to Noah Homes and will serve from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. Come with us and see how special this organization is! Contact Mr. White at [email protected] if you plan to attend. This service opportunity is open to all grade levels.

Tutors Wanted at Our Lady of Guadalupe
Our Lady of Guadalupe parish in Barrio Logan needs tutors to help elementary school children who are struggling with literacy. Tutoring takes place Monday through Thursday from 3:30-5:00 pm and Mr. White is there every day. Several OLP students have already begun doing service here and love it! Talk to Mr. White with interest or questions at [email protected] or in the Campus Ministry room in downstairs St. Catherine's. This service opportunity is open to all grade levels.

Women's Symposium Student Leadership Committee Opportunity
New this year: We are looking for students in grades 10-12 to serve as student leaders for OLP's Women's Symposium. Your job is to make promotional appearances on PTV, meet and interview panelists, communicate with the student body about the event, and promote the event within your grade level. If selected, you will be given first choice of your panel, automatic entry into the round table discussion, and a unique one-on-one experience with panelists. If you are interested in applying to be a leader for this event, Mrs. Flannery will be posting the application to JupiterEd on Tuesday, October 10.
