Bring Your Dad to Lunch This Thursday!
All dads/guardians are invited to Bring Your Dad to Lunch Day on Thursday, September 14, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Dads can bring lunch for their daughters or purchase lunch on campus. Pilot Cafe will be serving steak, pommes frites and green beans with red bell pepper soup and a fresh salad bar. Common Grounds will be selling pre-boxed lunches of turkey and cheese baguette sandwiches, chips and a chocolate eclair, along with turkey pesto paninis and grilled cheese sandwiches. Don’t forget – dads can "adopt" other "daughters" for the event! RSVP Here

CSF Application Deadline Approaching
The California Scholarship Federation is accepting applications for the 2017 Spring Semester from all current 10-12 graders. Applications can be found online or outside room 201 and must be turned in with a print out of your final grades from last semester to Ms. Cunningham (Room 201) NO LATER THAN Monday, September 18 at 2:15 pm. No late applications or applications without printed grades will be accepted. Please see Ms. Cunningham for any questions regarding eligibility or the application process.

Calling All Frosh: The OLP-Saints Frosh Tailgate is Coming Up!
Come hang out with your classmates and make new friends at the annual OLP-Saints Frosh Tailgate! The Tailgate will be held on September 22, beginning at 5:00 pm in the Mesa College Parking Lot 2. The football game begins at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $15 and include pizza and soda. Students will need to print out their confirmation ticket or use the Eventbrite app in order to get in. Save the Date: Frosh Dance Lessons Begin September 25
All frosh are invited to participate in one of our favorite traditions: Frosh Dance Lessons with Saints. Students will sign up to attend one lesson on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (Sept. 25-28) from 2:45-4:00 pm at Saints. Forms were sent home this week. Please turn in your form and $5 fee (cash or check accepted) to Ms. Nagem in Room 101. This tradition has been going on for 50 years and we guarantee the memories will be worth the butterflies!

Parent & Student Travel Informational Meeting
Interested in participating in OLP's Travel Program this year? Come to our Parent & Student Informational Travel meeting on Tuesday, September 26 at 6:30 pm in the OLP Theatre. You will learn about each opportunity and the focus of each experience (ex: cultural immersion, language immersion and service immersion). This year we have a Spring Break trip to France to explore our CSJ heritage and tradition and Service Immersion trips to Nicaragua, Los Angeles, West Virginia and Peru. Save the Date: Mother-Daughter Retreat on September 23
We're excited to host our first Mother-Daughter Retreat for current OLP students and their mothers on Saturday, September 23, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on OLP's campus. Join us for a faith-filled day centered around the relationship between a mother and her daughter(s). The morning will consist of mass, brunch and a retreat experience. Cost is $18 per person. If a mother is unable to attend, a mother figure is more than welcome to attend. RSVP Here

Bethany Hamilton: Courage Over Fear @ OLP
On October 10, 2017, OLP will host world-renowned professional surfer, shark attack survivor, mom and inspirational leader Bethany Hamilton on campus for a day of empowering events. The day will begin with an Architects of Change @ School Live Conversation with Bethany (this is a school day event, and current students are free of charge). Then, Bethany will join a select group of guests for a more intimate lunch and Q&A session. Are You Interested in a Career in Local Television?
Juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in local television are invited to apply to the KNSD Media Academy at NBC7 San Diego! The KNSD Media Academy is an opportunity to learn from the pros in a state-of-the-art media facility. You'll attend sessions from October-April and graduate from the Academy in May. STEM Summer Opportunity With the Department of Navy
The Science & Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP) gives students the opportunity to participate in research at a Department of Navy (DoN) laboratory for eight weeks over the summer.
