Join Us for Morning Mass on Tuesday, September 5
The school year is off to a wonderful start, and coming together as a community around the Eucharist is a beautiful way to celebrate and give thanks for all of the blessings that abound in our OLP community. Please join us for our first Morning Mass of the school year on Tuesday, September 5, at 7:00 am in the Chapel. All students, family members, and faculty and staff are invited.
Club Expo Week is This Week!
We are excited to host our annual Club Expo Week on September 5-7 during lunch on Lower Plaza. If you are looking to be part of a club, academic team, or participate in a service opportunity, stop by the tables at lunch to learn more. This is a great opportunity to find your passion! We will also be accepting new club applications, beginning Tuesday, September 5.

OLP is Launching G Block Tutoring
Starting next week, OLP will be offering weekly tutoring during G Block in Math, Science, English and Writing in the Student Commons. Students will work with Ms. Artz for Math and Science tutoring on Mondays and Wednesdays and one of our English teachers for English and Writing tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This program is available to all students and is included in tuition. Walk ins are encouraged as students can drop by for up to 65 minutes of tutoring support. Additionally, all OLP faculty post "office hours" and are available for individual academic support during those times.
Now Accepting CSF Applications
The California Scholarship Federation is accepting applications for the 2017 Spring Semester from all current 10-12 graders. Applications can be found online or outside room 201 and must be turned in with a print out of your final grades from last semester to Ms. Cunningham (Room 201) NO LATER THAN Monday, September 18 at 2:15 pm. No late applications or applications without printed grades will be accepted. Please see Ms. Cunningham for any questions regarding eligibility or the application process.
Parent & Student Travel Informational Meeting
Interested in participating in OLP's Travel Program this year? Come to our Parent & Student Informational Travel meeting on Tuesday, September 26 at 6:30 pm in the OLP Theatre. You will learn about each opportunity and the focus of each experience (ex: cultural immersion, language immersion and service immersion). This year we have a Spring Break trip to France to explore our CSJ heritage and tradition and Service Immersion trips to Nicaragua, Los Angeles, West Virginia and Peru. Save the Date: Mother-Daughter Retreat on September 23
We're excited to host our first Mother-Daughter Retreat for current OLP students and their mothers on Saturday, September 23, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on OLP's campus. Join us for a faith-filled day centered around the relationship between a mother and her daughter(s). The morning will consist of mass, brunch and a retreat experience. Cost is $18 per person. If a mother is unable to attend, a mother figure is more than welcome to attend. RSVP Here
Bethany Hamilton: Courage Over Fear @ OLP
On October 10, 2017, OLP will host world-renowned professional surfer, shark attack survivor, mom and inspirational leader Bethany Hamilton on campus for a day of empowering events. The day will begin with an Architects of Change @ School Live Conversation with Bethany (this is a school day event, and current students are free of charge). Then, Bethany will join a select group of guests for a more intimate lunch and Q&A session. Are You Interested in a Career in Local Television?
Juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in local television are invited to apply to the KNSD Media Academy at NBC7 San Diego! The KNSD Media Academy is an opportunity to learn from the pros in a state-of-the-art media facility. You'll attend sessions from October-April and graduate from the Academy in May. STEM Summer Opportunity With the Department of Navy
The Science & Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP) gives students the opportunity to participate in research at a Department of Navy (DoN) laboratory for eight weeks over the summer.
