All Events✨ Pilot for a Day at OLP
OLP is the most safe, supportive, and magical place for girls—and Pilot for a Day lets your daughter experience it firsthand! Recommended for 7th- and 8th-grade girls, this special shadow day pairs each visiting student with a current OLP student for a full school day. Together, she’ll attend classes, meet our incredible teachers, and feel the energy of our faith-filled, empowering sisterhood. More than just a glimpse, it’s a chance to discover why OLP is where girls truly learn, grow, and shine.
✅ What to Know
- Wear comfortable, school-appropriate clothing (no uniform required).
- Bring a laptop or book in case of quiet work time.
- Pack a water bottle and snack, or bring money to purchase lunch in our Café.
- Be ready to participate, ask questions, and soak it all in!
💡 Tips for the Day
- Your Host Student will guide you, but don’t hesitate to ask questions.
- Teachers love when shadow students engage—jump into discussions and activities!
- Cell phones should remain away during class time.
- Locker rooms are off-limits to visitors.
- Most importantly, bring your curiosity, enthusiasm, and best self.

Students from All Schools Welcome to 8th Grade Visitation Day
At the Academy of Our Lady of Peace, we joyfully welcome students of all faith backgrounds and from every type of middle school—parochial, public, charter, independent, and home-schooled. Each girl brings her own experiences, perspectives, and gifts, and together they strengthen our sisterhood and enrich our community.
Every future Pilot is invited to step onto our campus and experience the magic of OLP through our 8th Grade Visitation Day. A beloved OLP tradition, this half-day event invites 8th-grade students to experience our academics, spirit, and traditions alongside girls from across San Diego.
Many parochial schools are already registered to attend with their entire class, so before signing up individually, please confirm with your daughter’s school whether she is already included.

During this special afternoon, you’ll be able to:

- Feel the spirit she’ll share through cheer, dance, and student showcases
- Meet the mentors who will inspire her—teachers, staff, and future sisters

Special Ways We Celebrate Her
- Families who pre-register for Open House are automatically entered into our raffle for exciting prizes, including a $1,000 tuition scholarship award (winner must be present).
- Pre-registration for raffle eligibility closes on Friday, October 31, at 8:00 a.m. Families may still register on the day of Open House, but only those who sign up in advance will be entered into the raffle.
