The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is looking to hire a Director of Enrollment Management effective immediately.

The Director of Enrollment Management provides leadership, planning, and management for the Academy of Our Lady of Peace (OLP) and is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive enrollment management program built upon quantitative analysis, strategic decision-making, and an ethos of continuous improvement, while fostering a culture that emphasizes strong personal relationships, a high-touch, customer-service approach, communication and transparency, entrepreneurism, flexibility, and collaboration. All responsibilities are to be in line with the mission of the school and CSJ charism. The Director of Enrollment Management reports directly to the Head of School and works collaboratively with all senior staff and administrators. This is a full-time, twelve-month exempt position.

The Academy of Our Lady of Peace (OLP) seeks a full-time, on-site, School Counselor who wants to make a positive impact on young women’s lives. We are seeking a visionary Counselor who will help students learn and grow to become young women of heart, faith, courage, and excellence in the spirit of our sponsoring religious order, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. 

The Counselor is expected to counsel an alphabetical section of students in grades 9-12. The Counselor models and communicates mission, philosophy, and values while modeling behavior that inspires excellence, helping students grow to become young women of heart, faith, and courage in the spirit of the Sisters of St. Joseph. 

OLP is the oldest remaining, all-girls Catholic school in San Diego with a population including 69% identifying as young women of color, and on average 18% crossing the International US Border from Baja California daily to call OLP home. We welcome 750 young women to our campus forming a diverse educational community from over 80 different zip codes. As a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) school, OLP places a strong emphasis on 21st-century learning and leadership skills across the curriculum. OLP offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience; the faculty salary range for this position aligns with the salary scale from $54,000 - $99,100.

  • Scholarship information  
  • Testing (Educational, Vocational, Psychological)  
  • Scheduling (Course Planning/Programming)  
  • Implementation of Programs associated with social and emotional health and wellness   
  • Maintenance of confidentiality of information and clear communication to others regarding the need for, limits of, and the reason for confidentiality standards.  
  • Performance of additional assignments/tasks/initiatives as needed by the Assistant Principal of Student Support, the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction, the Assistant Head of School, and the Head of School.  
  • Professional behavior and confidentiality.
  • Chaperone and support student events and on-campus activities

More specifically, the School Counselor must be proficient in the following services:

  • Personal Counseling: physical/ mental health, family concerns, interpersonal/social skills, support groups, referrals (e.g., alcohol, drugs, therapeutic, tutoring, psychological)
  • Academic Counseling and Scheduling: achievement and academic reviews, parent/teacher/student conferences, familiarity with learning difficulties, classroom accommodations, study skills evaluation, home study/ independent programs, dual enrollment, development of 4-year plans, annual student course selections.
  • College and Career Counseling: college selection and admissions procedures, recommendation letters, presentations to and meetings with families, college tours, coordination of college visits to OLP, analysis and explanation of AP/ SAT/ACT scores, career workshops, SCIOR, familiarity with and access to scholarship resources.

The ideal candidate would possess the following:

This position requires an understanding of counseling tailored to an all-girls learning environment; a high level of professionalism; attention to detail; self-motivation; strong organization; and commitment to the OLP mission. 

  • This role requires the ability to work on-site at the school location.
  • California Pupil Personnel Services Credential with a Specialization in School Counseling
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) (required), Master’s Degree (preferred) in School Counseling.
  • Comfortable working with high school students and fellow School Counselors.
  • Possession of relevant computer and technology skills
  • Motivated to learn and possess flexibility in a changing environment.
  • Knowledgeable of principles, practices, and procedures of educational and career counseling
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Student-centered with strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in counseling or related field
  2. Prefer 3+ years counseling at a high school level
  3. Must have a California PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) Credential; or be in the process of earning the credential
  4. Evidence of knowledge of counseling support in the three domains: Academic, College/Career, and Personal/Social

JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities Department at the Academy of Our Lady of Peace (OLP) is a primary partner in serving the needs of all departments across the school and student activities. Facilities Department members work collaboratively to support one another and the greater needs of the school.

Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager and in partnership with all members of the Facilities Department, this role is expected to perform skilled and semi-skilled work in a variety of building maintenance trades in the upkeep of school buildings, facilities and equipment. The role of Campus Maintenance Worker supports campus event set up/takedown, performs and conducts preventative maintenance, and ensures a safe campus environment.

The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is looking to fill a high school seasonal coaching position within the Athletics Department. We are interested in someone dedicated to program development with coaching student-athletes and guidance with qualities of character development.  Previous high school coaching experience is preferred. 

The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is currently accepting applications for a Girls Varsity Tennis Head Coach for the Fall 2024 season.  This is a seasonal interscholastic coaching position for a competitive CIF girls Tennis program.  We are interested in finding someone that will serve as an excellent role model to represent OLP with experience and dedication to developing the program and building it for future seasons.  

The coach must be able to deal with and encourage the individual to greater levels of participation and skill. At the same time, the coach must constantly work with the group to develop team spirit, cooperation, and fair play. The coach models sportsmanship and competition. The coach is an exemplary model of ethics and moral behavior. The coach should uphold the School Mission and implement it throughout their respective program.  

Salary Description: $17.00 - $19.00 Per Hour
