I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself as the new Registered Nurse on OLP’s campus! I was raised in Massachusetts where I began my 34-year nursing career and have since made San Diego my home with my husband and two children (18 and 21). I enjoy running, hiking, crafting, and the beach.
As the OLP RN, I am able to provide healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness. I also support students with chronic illnesses and disabilities, developing and monitoring their health plans. Your child’s safety, as well as their physical, emotional, and mental well-being is of the utmost importance for their learning success.
During this unprecedented time, please remind your children to continue to eat healthy, enjoy daily physical activity, and to get plenty of sleep. A flu shot for everyone is highly recommended this year. Please remember to practice all the necessary COVID-19 precautions: frequent hand washing, physical distancing, mask wearing, and staying home if ill.
