Forward progression of the Friar Fire has been stopped at approx 3 acres. Resources will be committed several hours for mop up - per Incident Command.
****All classes are continuing with students remaining indoors. Air quality is good within school buildings.

Dear OLP Parents and Guardians,
This is to notify you that just a little while ago, a fire broke out off Friars Road and Via De La Moda in the Mission Valley/Fashion Valley Area.
We want to make you aware that we are closely monitoring the situation and are in ongoing communication with the San Diego Fire Department. At this time, there is no immediate impact on campus operations, and we are staying vigilant to ensure the safety of our community.
We will be closing all external doors to mitigate air quality within the classrooms and the windows will be kept shut as well. Mr. Soares, our Athletic Director, will provide updates with after-school athletics.
We will provide an update after school or should anything change. Circle Drive will be open early for any pick ups as necessary.
