Archery

The OLP Archery team has been training hard in preparation for the State and National competitions which will be taking place these upcoming weeks. The roster during competition stays constantly rotating with top shooters, so each girl is conditioning to shoot to the best of their ability. Please stay tuned for news about any wins which we hope to see even more of!

Softball

The JV Softball team has been working hard at practice and in the Dust Bowl tournament earlier in the season to hone their skills on the field. On Tuesday, March 22, the JV Softball team earned their first win against Mission Bay High School with a final score of 19-2. Every player scored runs, participated in plays, and did a great job of supporting in the dugout. The team is grateful for all of the parent and student supporters who have been so dedicated and coming to games. We encourage you all to come out and support the JV Softball team at future games throughout the rest of the season. Go Pilots!

OLP Varsity Softball's 2022 season is off to a great start. We are 11 games in and the Pilots are the #3 ranked team in Division 3. We have a .366 team batting average and a league-leading 12 home runs. Our pitchers have an outstanding combined ERA of 1.21. We will compete in the Torrey Invitational, the Holy Bowl of Softball (vs. Cathedral and Mater Dei), and then enter league play where we have high expectations.

Swim & Dive

Your OLP Swim & Dive team is continuing into its most successful season yet! The girls have been on an absolute tear lately.

Jaya Kuldau '25 (Our one-woman Dive team) has been having an awesome beginning of her high school career with big wins and even a Top 8, CIF qualifying performance at the Fallbrook Dive Invite!

Our JV Team has gone undefeated so far this season, including big wins over Bishops and Coronado High School.

Your Varsity gals sit atop the Eastern League after a strong win against rival La Jolla Country Day and look to win out the rest of their schedule to earn their first league title in years! They take on Canyon Hills next and appreciate your prayers and positive vibes.

Additionally, the girls earned some extra hardware as they were crowned champions of the Christian High School Invite. They faced off against six other schools from all over Southern California and put on a heck of a show! In addition to outscoring all other schools, every single swimmer and diver made finals in every event and finished within the top five in every event - contributing to an awesome team performance.

It is so fun to see the kids' hard work really starting to pay off. We are going to continue to glorify God through all that we do and keep moving in this positive direction. We have a grueling couple of weeks of league play and Conference championships - come out and support our gals if you get a chance!

Get used to hearing about this team, friends. Big things to come. God is so good, and so are y'all!

Track & Field

This year’s track team is made up of almost 60 members! We were so excited to have so many returning and new teammates. This season we have been led by captains Katie Sundstrom '22, Julia Torres '22, Sofia Brigida '23, Ella Jones '23, Winter Moritz '24, Katie Snedden '24, Marissa Wilfahrt '24, Claire Latham '23, Jessica Thiss '24, Christina Diaz '25, and Helena Baez '24. Our team is strong not only in talent but in friendships as well. Each and every one of us is supportive of others and loves to cheer our fellow sisters on. We began the season with everyone trying new things at our City Conference Cross League Meet. The next meet was at La Jolla, with our team only losing by a few points. A week later, our team won a tri-meet facing off against Mission Bay and San Diego High School! We have seen an incredible amount of growth since the beginning of the season, and many of the girls are making new personal records at each meet! As of now, our team has eleven members ranked in the top five athletes in the league for their respective events. With several key meets to look forward to, we are finding which events we enjoy most and perform best in, with each of us happy to be competing.
